Making Purchases with the Eco App
The Eco App enables you to manage all your everyday finances in one place. One key function of the app lies in allowing you to make purchases with your favorite merchants. Eco offers you a cashback of 5% for every purchase. On top of it, you earn Eco Points for every dollar spent.
In the following, we will show you how you can pay via the Eco App.
Where can I pay with the Eco App?
The Eco App is in beta mode but it already features popular brands like Amazon, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber, and UberEats where you can make purchases through the app. The list of supported merchants is continuously growing so stay tuned for further announcements by the Eco team.
How do I pay with Eco?
If you shop at one of Eco’s supported merchants, you can use the Eco App like you would use a gift card. Simply follow these steps:
- From the app home screen, tap on Spend now with merchants
- Select the merchant
- Enter the exact amount you’re going to purchase and tap Confirm
- Copy the redemption code and use it in the merchant app or at the merchant’s checkout page
Requesting a refund
The Eco App is similar to a gift card. For this reason, you’ll need to speak directly with the merchant if you want to request a refund. Usually, you will have to show your merchant the receipt or proof-of-purchase when requesting a refund.
When will the 5% cashback arrive?
Don’t worry if you have not received your 5% cashback yet. The app deposits your cashback on a monthly basis – after the end of the month.
